Rosedale Park Event Center & Zest Catering Company operate out of the Cedar Rapids facility, just like they did when they were A Touch of Class.
The owners, Jennifer & Quint Howell, purchased A Touch of Class in 2018 & took over the property in the fall of 2021. In 2019, they bought Julia N Le Chef to take over the private air travel catering business.
They felt it was crucial to have the businesses reflect the new & updated identity for the wedding & event venue and catering operation, so they transitioned them into two separate entities in 2022.
Before Zest Catering & Rosedale Park, Jennifer began her career in the food & beverage industry as an event coordinator at Park Place Event Center in Cedar Falls. She then transitioned to the catering director for Bon Apetit at Cornell College in 2012. Today, they’re raising three daughters together in Marion while operating the businesses they love.
Our chef came up with the name Zest Catering Company, which reflects what she brings to the kitchen. The meaning of zest is zeal & enthusiasm (also a way to flavor something). Enthusiasm & flavor come from our kitchen every day! Zest Catering will continue to do offsite wedding catering & corporate events while being the exclusive caterer for all in-house weddings & events hosted at Rosedale Park Event Center.

Zest Catering is located in the same building as Rosedale Park Event Center. In the early 1900s, the building was known as Rosedale School #2. From 1911 to 1912, famous American artist Grant Wood was a teacher at the school.
